FLHPOA plans fun-filled social events every year! All association members in good standing and their accompanied guests are welcome at any of our events.
Note, FLHPOA events are organized by board members who generously volunteer their time. Many events are also weather dependent. All dates/times are subject to change.

Easter Egg Hunt
April 4, 2026 at Bayview Park, 10am SHARP
The Easter Bunny has done it again!! Just hop on over with your own Easter Baskets to Bayview Park for our annual FLHPOA Easter Egg Hunt!
The hunt is for children* 12 years and under. We’ll begin right at 10am, so plan to arrive a few minutes early.
*Children's parents must be FLHPOA members in good standing.
Spring Park Cleanup
May 2, 2026 at Bayview Park, 9am
Spring has sprung! It’s time to get our parks ready for warmer, sunnier days. We need your help to clear away the winter debris and enjoy some much-needed fresh air after being cooped up all season!
Please bring any lawn tools you may have (e.g., rakes, shovels, shears, wheelbarrows, chainsaws, hand saws, branch loppers) to help us get this project done in record time! Oh, and a tip from our pros is to also wear some garden or utility gloves.

Pickleball Tournament
May 23, 2026 at Bayview Park, 1pm
Grab your paddles and come on down to our neighborhood pickleball court to compete for the neighborhood title!!

Community Garage Sale
June 5th, 6th, and 7th
- Sign up to participate in the sale HERE as soon as possible
- You pick your own times!
- New signs are being ordered this year
- Amber will be delivering complimentary garage sale kits and the garage sale signs to anyone who signed up the weekend prior to the sale
- Amber will be putting out promotion signs in the weeks approaching the sale to stir up excitement
- Amber will be promoting the sale starting at 9 am on Friday, June 5
- Please promote on your social media pages as well to all of the garage sale sites (Amber is only allowed so many posts on each site)
- Amber is reaching out to the ice cream truck to make some rounds during the sale days
- Do NOT throw away the signs– please place them flat at the end of your driveway for Amber to pick up on Sunday evening

Fishing Derby
June 20, 2026 at Bayview Park, 9am–12pm
Here fishy, fishy!! Time to cast those lines into the water for some family-friendly fun, and maybe catch a fish or two!
Join us for our 3rd annual Fishing Derby! There will be kid-only prizes, including awards for the biggest fish, smallest fish, most fish caught, and most unusual catch.
There are no entry fees. This is one of the IDNR’s free fishing days*, so no fishing licenses are needed either!
*The Illinois DNR "Free Fishing Days" for 2026 are June 19–22. On these days, you may fish without a fishing license!
Summer Beach Bash
+ Cardboard Boat Regatta
August 1 at Bayview Park, 3–7pm
We’re looking forward to a fun day in the park and hope you can join us! We’ll have live music from our favorite band, The Three Beards, along with delicious ice cream from Brain Freeze.
N Lukemeyer Photography will be taking photos at this year’s Summer Beach Bash instead of Fall Fest, so get your smiles ready!
CARDBOARD BOAT REGATTA
It’s time to put your engineering skills to the test for our upcoming Cardboard Boat Regatta at the Summer Beach Bash!
Grab some corrugated cardboard and duct tape to design a vessel that can outlast the competition.
Age groups:
- 6–12 years
- 13–18 years
- 19+ (Yes, adults can race too!)
Pumpkin Decorating Contest

Let’s carve out some fun for FLHPOA’s 1st annual pumpkin decorating contest! This is an all-ages community event, so get the whole family involved.
Unleash your imagination– carve it, paint it, or dress it up! Whether you’re a master carver or just getting started, the possibilities are endless.
Only 1 entry per person. Prizes will be awarded. More details will be shared on our Facebook page and website as we get close to October.
Fall Fest
October 10 at Bayview Park, 1–5pm
We’re looking forward to a fun-filled afternoon with neighbors and friends. We are still finalizing the details, but we hope to have a petting zoo, pony rides, ice cream, tractor wagon rides, and games and entertainment provided by Soundwave Entertainment.

Holiday Decorating Contest

Deck the halls and your lawn to win fantastic prizes in our annual Holiday Decorating Contest!
To compete in the contest, submit the entry form that will be posted in our Facebook group and on our website Nov. 27–Dec. 14.
Online voting will run Dec. 15–29. Winners will be announced Dec. 30. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place!
